Launching of Free Ambulance Service for Road Crash Victims

The highways starting from Bhubaneswar to Cuttack and Bhubaneswar to Pipili in India are very much vulnerable to road traffic accidents. There are many accidents on roads every day. People lost their lives, suffered from serious injuries and became invalid for life due to these traumatic road mishaps.

Looking at the situation, we at Forum for Prevention of Road Accidents (FPRA) have started a helpline (ambulance) service with Joy Jagannath Accidental Help Unit (JJAHU) in the said highways for road accident victims. We have used an ambulance which is stationed at Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar and can rescue the road crash victims and admit them to nearest hospitals within golden hour. A cadre of volunteers have been built by JJAHU and deployed for this service. Anyone who is in need can contact us over +91 9438375512 and avail this service 24X7 free of cost.

Recently, we organized its launching ceremony at Ganga Nagar Club of Bhubaneswar in which State Government officials Mr. Anant Narayan Jena, Member of State Legislative Assemply; Mr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Deputy Commissioner of Police; Er. Sanjaya Kumar Behera, Regional Transport Officer; Mr. Banambara Sethi, Asst. Commissioner of Police and other dignitaries were present.
